Disability and Awareness Day

Thank you to the Administration Team and everyone who came out to suppose our first Annual Disability and Awareness Event!! Seeing so many happy faces and joyous hearts, as the ESE family came together to bring awareness and celebration. Parents, students, and staff had a great time yesterday as we brought unity, played games, danced to music, and more importantly became aware of the significance of DISABILITY. Special thanks goes out to those who came together at the last minute to make this work and to Mr. Green and Ms. Burkes-Taylor who completed the entire task with me until the very end. Special thanks also goes to Mr. Hessell and Mr. Greene for your sportsmanship. The custodians I must say that you all ROCK for the helping hands you gave and to our OUTSTANDING parent volunteer Ms. Perry thanks for being my RIGHT hand Woman! Most of all, it was so nice seeing how everyone came together (non-ESE staff included) to pitch in and make this day special for our SPECIAL STUDENTS.
Finally, Titistreats did an AMAZING fruit basket with our babies, Kona Shaved Iced was ABSOLUTLEY delicious, The Conchman served it FRESH and I was so very GRATEFUL for the North Central SPED (Ms. A. Robinson) and her team, MDCPS Autism (Ms. Salazar) Team, Special Olympics (Mark Thompson), UM-CARD Team and their Bus load of Resources simply gratified me! I'm so proud of what we accomplished!
So I leave KUDOS to our ESE TEAM! It was a plum pleasure seeing you all participate in the event yesterday and I hope you all had a MEMERABLE TIME!
"Those who bring sunshine to the life of others, cannot keep it from themselves". Let us continue to Shine on BRIGHT like a DIAMOND!
